Overview

In March 2024, Voltas reintroduced their popular mascot, Mr. Murthy, as part of a campaign to promote their new SmartAir AC—a smart, IoT-enabled air conditioner with advanced features like sleep mode and super-silent operation. To create a more personalized connection with their distributors and dealers, Voltas partnered with Studio by Gan.AI to deliver customized video messages featuring Mr. Murthy, ensuring each recipient felt uniquely valued and appreciated.

Challenge

Voltas aimed to reconnect with their extensive network of distributors and dealers on a personal level during the launch of their new SmartAir AC. The challenge was to create a personalized communication experience at scale, ensuring that each video message was relevant and engaging to the individual recipient.

Solution

Studio by Gan.AI provided the perfect solution by enabling Voltas to create personalized video messages efficiently and at scale. Mr. Murthy recorded a base video for two different messages, with each script designed to address the distributors and dealers directly.

Personalization:

Recipient’s Name  & Shop’s Name(Voice cloning + lipsync)

  • Video 1: "Hello [Name of Shop Owner], me Murthy, I missed you a lot, that's why I'm back to say hello to you. Thought this time I’d come to your shop [Shop Name] and personally meet you. I feel really good meeting you after so long. Very nice to see you."
  • Video 2: "Hello [Name of Shop Owner], me Murthy. In your shop [Shop Name], my new Voltas SmartAir AC has arrived, and me too. This AC makes less noise and does more work, just like me."

Objective: To create a personalized and engaging experience that strengthens the relationship between Voltas and their distributors/dealers.

Execution: Studio by Gan.AI cloned Mr. Murthy's voice and synced it with his lip movements, allowing for the seamless insertion of each recipient’s name and shop name into the videos. The final personalized videos were then distributed to the intended recipients.

Distribution

The personalized videos were distributed via Email and WhatsApp, ensuring that each distributor and dealer received their pesonalized message through their preferred communication channel.
